Two Toned Crochet Flower Brooch

Hello again lovelies... This is another rendition to a brooch I've made before for my Aunts. You can find the pattern here on ravelry. Instead of it being all one colour, I used two colours to make it interesting. It turned out better than I expected for my first try at multi-coloured projects.

At the moment I have a few projects on my hands that I am struggling to complete with. Just last night I completed my cousin's order for a baby beanie for her little girl. I hope she likes it. Pictures will be up soon of my little niece with her new baby beanie. I cannot wait to let her have it. I had so much fun making it though I made many mistakes along the way and have to unravel it again and again just to make it right. Gets frustrating at times but its for the little girl that has me wrapped arnd her little pinky. It was worth it.

On another note, more brooches on the way. Once my orders are cleared, I am hoping to make a crochet bow brooch instead. I am getting quite sick of flowers. Hahah.... That is all for now. Toodles peeps!

Crochet Chinese Flower Brooch

Hello everyone! I am back again with another piece I crocheted over the weekends. These three pieces are the most difficult pieces I've made so far. At the request of my aunt who saw my pinterest post on this collection of chinese flower brooches, she asked me to crochet them for her. The one she picked was the dark blue one near the end of the collection of flowers. I couldn't make these as exact as the ones on the website but fortunately she likes them just the same. That is all I have for today... Tata for now lovelies!

Crochet Bow headband

Hello again lovelies! A short post of what I've made for my little cousin. She saw me with my changeable headband and asked me to crochet her one with a bow.

How to make it:
This piece is so easy to make. I made it 20 stitches across and used double crochets to build up the whole stretch to the circumference of her head. After thats done and I have attached the two ends together, I just bunched up the stitched part together to make a scrunched up bow and stitched the scrunch in place. To make it neater, I crocheted a small strip of 6 stitches across and and around 3-4 layers of double crochets up to cover the scrunch that I've made earlier so that it'll look presentable and seamless all around.

My little cousin was so happy to receive this headband... Unfortunately I've forgotten to take a picture of her wearing this piece. I'll get it the next time I see her wearing this. Thats all I have for now... Toodles!

Crochet Headbands

Hello again everyone... I realise I still have something I have yet to share... So here it is! This is a collection of removable flowers/charms I made for a changeable headband. One base and many different flowers/charms for a different look and feel to compliment my outfits.

I was inspired to create this piece when i realise that I had no plce to store the many headbands that I have made and owned. So this is a simple solution to my problem. It may look as though I own many headbands when in fact I onky own many charms. Haha.... Enjoy the pictures... I have yet to extend my charm collection... When I do, more pictures will be uploaded.

Below are the pictures of the removable charms attatched to the base by a button.

Below would be the pictures of the individual removable charms.

Thats all I have for you today... Till next time!

Another batch of Brooches

Hello again people! I have been busy crocheting brooches for my aunts and these are the results.

The crochet over button brooches were inspired by pieces I saw online I figured out how to make them so here they are. Not as perfect as I'd hoped but still quite an accomplishment for me. It took me about an hour to make these before I got used to it.

The piece above was inspired by this picture. I made this smaller for my mother.

The brooch above was done in less than 20 minutes and is easy to make. I did not refer to any patterns on this one.

I am selling all these brooches. So if you are from Singapore and are interested in buying any of these, Check out my Facebook Page, Handmade Crochet and PM me if you are interested.
Thats it for now! Toodles!=)

Crochet Brooch

Hello again lovelies! It has been too long since I've blogged my little crochet projects. Thing is, I've had many projects to complete and exams to study for... I didn't have the time to post things up. So here is my first post after a long break...

This little brooch took me around 20 minutes to make. I just love the colours on this yarn that I bought from Jogjakarta early last year. It has many fun colours on it and can be paired with many outfits I have in my closet. I believe I made this brooch in June last year and I have only worn it once.

This brooch is made up of two pieces of identical crochet flowers stacked together. This is a very simple project. Listed out below would be the pattern I used to make the flowers. Forgive me if there are mistakes as this would be my first time writing out a pattern. Hope it works out for you. Good luck!

This is for those who are not familiar with the crochet abbreviations I used fo the pattern:
Ch --> Chain
sl st --> Slip Stitch
dc --> Double Crochet
ch st --> Chain Stitch
sc --> Single Crochet
hdc --> Half Double Crochet

Ch 4 and sl st to 1st ch st to make a hoop.
Ch 7, dc into hoop. (This creates one petal.)
(Ch 5, dc into hoop) repeat 4 times. (Thus creating 4 petals.)
Ch 5 and sl st into the 2nd ch st on the first petal. (You should now have 6 petals.)
(Sc, hdc, 3 dc, ch 3, 3hdc, 3dc, hdc and a sc) into all 6 petals.

Fasten off and leave a long tail at the end to attach a button of your choice and a pin to make a brooch or you can also use the flowers and attach it onto a hat or a cardigan. It would look great on anything. Thats all I have for you people today! Have a good day and toodles!
